Among the unique symbolisms used in Astrology, nothing perhaps comes close to the Sagittarius sun sign. For one, it is the only purely mythological creature amongst the signs. Bearing the image of a centaur, Satyr, or a Chiron, the Sagittarius is most often referred to as the archer and is ruled by the planet Jupiter. Individuals who are born from November 23 to December 21 are considered Sagittarius according to the Tropical Zodiac while those born from December 16 to January 14 are Sagittarius according to the Sidereal Zodiac.
Scorpio Sun Sign
Perhaps a symbol with elusive meanings is the 8th zodiac Scorpio sun sign. A scorpion is a water sign, but the actual animal survives outside the water and even in the harshest and driest conditions. It is seemed gentle, but is equipped with one of the most deadly stings in the world. And besides mythology, other stories and folklore suggest that the scorpion is of negative origin. According to the two different zodiac calendars, the Scorpio of tropical descent is born from October 23 to November 22 while the Scorpio of the sidereal zodiac is born from November 16 to December 25.
According to the old zodiac texts, Scorpio is ruled by the planet Mars. Recent astrologers pointed out that Pluto was the right ruler of Scorpios. Even with the reclassification of Pluto as a dwarf planet back in 2006, Pluto still remains the ruler of the Scorpio symbol.

Virgo Sun Sign
A virgin in most cultures is a sign of purity. Unblemished, a virgin is a perfect being that can withstand the cruelty of the world and hold its head proud and high. In the zodiac calendar, the virgin is the symbol for Virgo sun sign. Said to be an introvert symbol, or a feminine negative, the Virgo is also known to be an earth symbol and a mutable symbol sign. Virgo is ruled by the planet Mercury. But for modern astrologists, they push Ceres as the ruler of Virgo. For the tropical zodiac, a Virgo is born from August 23 to October 22 while for the sidereal zodiac; a Virgo is born from September 17 to October 17.
In Greek mythology, there are various female figures used to depict a Virgo. One of which is Persiphone, a daughter of the goddess of agriculture and the guardian of marriage, Demeter, who was taken by Hades and was made queen of the underworld. Another myth comes from Asclepius, god of medicine and healing.

Libra Sun Sign
A scale can mean a lot of things. It can mean balance, accuracy, proportion, weight, gravity, and in the most serious case, justice. However, for the zodiac signs, the weighing scale is a symbol for Libra. The image was taken because of the result in the precision of the equinoxes. Libra sun sign is one of the zodiac's air signs and is ruled by the planet Venus. It is also a symbol governed by the House of Love and Relationships. The symbolism for Libra is unique, being the only inanimate object among the symbolisms used for all the zodiac signs. For tropical zodiacs, a Libra is born from September 23 until October 22. While for the sidereal zodiacs, Libras are born from September 23 until November 15.
From Greek Mythology, the scale is often associated with the Goddess of Justice, Themis. The Greek myth also included the balanced twin Atalanta and Astraea, the figures who make up Gemini, who happens to be a neighboring constellation to Libra.

Leo Sun Sign
A symbol for courage used in many literary and cultural devices, the lion is always used to connote courage and heart. King of the jungle and the top cat in the feline family, the Leo sun sign is also encrusted with the image of a mighty lion. And with such a dominance streaming through the zodiac, it is only right that this symbol be ruled by the Sun. Given that there are two divisions of zodiac timelines, two sets of Leos have been sought out. From the tropical zodiac, a Leo is born from July 23 to August 23. For the sidereal zodiac, Leos are born from August 17 to September 16.
Mythological, the lion is a character that was fought and slain by Hercules. In honor of Hercules, and the lion's courage in facing Hercules in combat, Zeus raised the lion's head and placed it amongst the stars.

Cancer Sun Sign
A crab is definitely one of the sea's most sensational delicacies. However, moving from the sea and into the stars, the crab is the symbol for the fourth astrological symbol we all know as Cancer. Perhaps this image was chosen because Caner is a water sign. And being a water sign, Cancer's primary isn't another planet but the Earth's orbiting moon. The image of the tide slowly shaping the Earth's surface constitutes the proper use of the Crab image for Cancer. Under the division of the sidereal and the tropical zodiacs, Cancer according to the tropical zodiac is born from June 22 to July 22. And for the sidereal zodiac, Cancers are born from July 16 to August 15.
Gemini Sun Sign
The third astrological sign in the Zodiac is the Gemini Sun Sign. Compared to other signs, Gemini is no longer aligned with the Gemini constellation as a result of the precession of the equinoxes. Gemini is said to be masculine, positive and an extrovert – the exact opposite of Taurus. It is an air sign and serves as one of four mutable signs. It is ruled by the fiery planet, Mercury.
