Astrolgy Signs

The zodiac is the group of constellations through which the Sun, Moon, and planets travel across the skies. Astrologers attached developed the system of twelve zodiac signs, based on twelve particular constellations that they considered to be significant. Each astrological sign corresponds to a section of the twelve parts of the zodiac. Astrologers formed the theory that movement of heavenly bodies has a predominant effect on human affairs. Each of 12 astrology signs of the zodiac symbolizes a specific energy patterns or forms of expression.
Indian and Western astrologers use the twelve zodiac signs related to constellations. On the other hand, Chinese astrologers give primary consideration to the equatorial line, which Chinese astrology practitioners partitioned into 12 equal sectors.

The influential factors in Indian and Western astrology are celestial movements through each of the 12 signs. On the contrary, Chinese Astrology gives weight to time and yearly cycles of the zodiac. All three share the theory that the specific zodiac sign that rises on the east on one's birthday is the one of significance.

The energies of each planet are influenced in a certain way each time a planet goes through each of the twelve signs with respect to the position of other planets and classification of which house the planet belongs to. Astrology signs are correlated to classical elements (earth, air, water, or fire) to areas of concern (universal, social, and personal) and to modalities or qualities (fixed, mutable, or cardinal).

In Western astrology, the twelve zodiac signs are believed to correspond to personality types. Each personality type has characteristics that an individual might posses. One person falls under the influence of not a single sign, possessing a few characteristics from each influential sign.
