Aries Sun Sign

Being the first astrological sun sign in the Zodiac, Aries the Ram exudes great importance even more because it is one of four cardinal signs. The Ram originated from the Aries constellation.

Aries sun sign is regarded as a mannish and optimistic and is associated with the astrological 1st house. Individuals born under this sign are labeled as Aries individuals. It is also considered as a fire sign and is ruled by the planet Mars. The Sun was under Aries from March 21 to April 19, and is by definition beginning at vernal equinox.

Relating the Zodiac to mythology, Aries is often related with the Ram which carried the son of the famous Phrixus, Athamus, and daughter Helle to a place called Colchis so they could flee Ino, their stepmother as well as the Greek ruler, Theseus.

The head and horn of the Ram is evidently featured and used as the official symbol of Aries. The head of the Aries constellation on the other hand is created with the cluster of four bright twinkling stars. The head of Aries is respectively given the name Aluathay or Salhay.


People born under this sign are physically strong, athletic, and have a well-toned body. Their faces are usually elongated with a well-formed and wide forehead. The part of their face that cannot at all be overlooked is their chin because it is very domineering and flashy.

Females born under this sign have definitive jaw lines, and emphasized cheekbones. The Adam's apple of the male on the other hand is very apparent. Both have clear and piercing eyes and very strong dark eyebrows. The noses of both the male and female are high and straight.

As is known to many, Aries is very much compatible with people born under the sign of Sagittarius and Leo.
